Immunology
Immunology is a field of life science that studies the immune systems of all living organisms. Research on the interaction between the immune system and cancer is so important in the field of biomedical sciences that it has recently won the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine. SIMS focuses on the correlation among the immune system, tissue regeneration, and metabolic diseases and conducts research on inflammatory reactions during tissue regeneration, molecular interactions between microbiota and the immune system, and immune-related metabolic diseases.
