Stem cells are cells that have multi-potential differentiation ability and can differentiate into all cells in the body to be used as a cell therapy for a range of diseases, including metabolic diseases and degenerative diseases.
At SIMS, we investigate the mechanisms of self-division and differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells, embryonic stem cells, and adult stem cells, which are pluripotent stem cells. In addition, we are developing various organoids using these cells and conducting stem cell research, such as investigating the roots of diseases using stem cells, developing cell-based next-generation treatments, and verifying the safety and efficacy of new drugs.
